It’s gonna be a GOOD week

<says the girl who has a serious case of the Monday’s today>

Power of positive thinking, yes? But seriously – I do think it’s gonna be a GOOD, if not GREAT, week.

Why, you ask?

Well…there will be a lot of this:

A little bit of this: (more on what this is all about later):

And more of this:

Plus a fun blog friend meet-up in Boston on Thursday night (with blog reader Susan, all the way from Ireland! Can’t wait!).

So yes, I’m thinking this week will a goodie, and that’s sometimes all it takes. A little positive thinking,  lots of fun workout plans (if you’re a workout dweeb like me) and a great weather forecast (ignore the clouds, look at those temps!:

Three simple things to make me focus on the right things in my day and my week. Instead of wasting time focusing on the wrong things (the fact that it’s Monday…the weekend flew by…and “can’t-waiting” for the next weekend to come.)

Instead, I’m trying to live more presently and this is one pretty easy way of doing it. (something I know my husband can really appreciate…less “always-on-ness” and more “disconnectedness”)

So now, you take stock of your week and report back – how is this going to be a GOOD week for you??

  1. Girl now I am the one jealous of your weather. You should check out ours. Storms, storms, more storms. It’s really getting to be a bit much. Both cars have hail damage now 😦

My week has to get better though – leaving for Seattle on Thursday!

    • My how the tables have turned! I shouldn’t gloat though, watch the forecast change entirely on me now that I said that, right??
You’re going to have a great week with Seattle to look forward to (and hopefully a good dose of “presence” thrown in for good measure?)

  2. It is going to be an awesome week! For workouts, weather and meetups! (yay!) For me, it’s also fun because I started STS again today, a mini 6-week rotation. Whoa nelly, pushups today!

  3. Ok, this is good — I need some positivity! This week is going to be good for me as I am *finally* going to feel better (I hope!). And I am also going to learn to take time off when I need it. I am not going to pick up a book or a pen until I am itching to do so. And I am not going to even look at my workout gear until a long time after that…

    Enjoy that running weather!

  4. You are so right about the positive attitude changing everything. We set ourselves up for frustration and failure if we have negative thoughts, but have a positive outlook on the week is the best way to start!

  5. Woo hoo for good weeks! I can attest that yesterday was a fab running day, and if your weather forecast is any indication, tomorrow will be fab.u.lous as well.

Throw in a new business win, a trip to Orlando for work, and some shopping on the agenda, and I do believe this will be an excellent week!

    • Indeed – this morning was awesome for running, a little cool and damp but it was actually really perfect running weather IMHO.

YAY for a good week in your book, too!!! Rock it out, girlfriend!

  6. I’m signing up for my first timed 5K with my bf for May 14th! I found new, great running shoes for $40. I got my hip pain diagnosed, and it’s not running related and will be cleared up soon. I found a wonderful running trail near my home. There will be some running, cross training, and writing happening. I bought lunch for the next week or so, and am saving myself from spending money to eat out for lunch…it’s just going to be a really good, active and cost effective week! 🙂

Looks like you’ll have good running weather. It’s hot here! Near ninety most of the week–ugh! Hopefully it will be cool in the evenings when I run. Your week sounds GREAT! 😀
