Hi, and welcome to my little corner of the Internet. I’m a major fitgeek and wear that label proudly. Today, my love of fitness has evolved into a passion for running and for barre-style workouts. I’ve run four half marathons and declared 2012 “the year of 26.2!” — an accomplishment I finally conquered this fall — my husband and I proudly ran the Chicago Marathon together on October 7, 2012! And, ever since embarking on a 60-day challenge at a local barre studio in my area (barre n9ne) in May 2011, I’ve become a new woman. Stronger. Confident. Happy in my own skin. It only took me 33 years to get here but I’m happy to say I’m in the best place possible in life right now. And now I’m happily paying that entire experience forward by teaching at the very studio that changed my life almost two years ago to the day. ❤
My husband of 8+ years and I spend as much time doing the things that we love – which yes, includes working out, but also involves travel, wine, good food, and great friends. Hence the name of my blog – EatDrinkBreatheSweat – which stands for eating well, drinking even better, breathing in every single moment in each day we’re on this earth, and getting a good sweat in as often as possible. So, if you’re looking for motivation, a few laughs, and insight into how an “everyday” chick gets her sweat on, then this is the blog for you. Welcome!
And…here are a few pics, in case you’re a curious blogger like me and like to know more about the person behind the blog 😉
Me with my best friend, and husband of 8+ years, Scott:
We’re a bunch of goofballs, too:
My two sisters, we’re triplets, and I love them dearly:
And a few “fit shots” – a couple of me at the barre; another with sis Jo (and fellow barre n9ne instructor); and one of me and Scott after one of our Chicago Marathon finish:

Hi Jessica,
I followed your link from Cathe’s website and just wanted to comment. You sound like me! I love to workout, eat for health (and for fun!) and yes, I even enjoy the wine!
It is all about balance, and yes, working out is ME time. I do feel selfish some times, but luckily my husband of..dare I say almost 29 years, totally gets it.
I see you’re 30. I’m 47 and still feel the way you do. I just did Circuit Max this a.m. and did two workouts yesterday.
Anyway, I hope you do great with your Kickbox-thing (sorry forgot what you call it). I’m sure you’ll kick butt!
PS – I went to my first Cathe RT this year. Really had fun!
Take care,
Cheryl
Hi Cheryl! Thank you so much for stopping by! Love to meet fellow Cathletes, especially! The road trips are incredible experiences aren’t they? I’ve been the past two years and already can’t wait to go again this year. Stay in touch! I’d love to hear more about your workout regime too, have you gotten into STS at all?

Oh fun! So nice to “meet” you! I look forward to reading your blog and sharing workout stories, too. 🙂
I just found your blog and love it! I caught up on all of your Group Kick stuff – I’m Kick certified. 🙂 It will get easier I promise! You are putting so much work and effort into it and it’ll pay off! If you ever order any of the older DVDs I’m on some of them (after track 8 when everyone runs around and one of the bonus tracks) – the headquarters is in Atlanta so it’s easy to get to a filming.
Get some fun colored wraps! It makes it all the morning exciting.
That is SO awesome!! I’m so glad to “meet” you! I actually just came from a Kick practice and it’s starting to come together, slowly but surely. I’ll get there, its just a LOT to digest, you know?? Looking forward to reading your blog 🙂

HI!! Sooo…I was freaking out about what to wear tomorrow for the wicked half marathon so I googled it and stumbled upon your blog. Awesome!! I can definately related to about 90% of everything you said! From the whole short distance/fast pace or long distance pace thing, and from worrying about being able to finish to now knowing I will be able to do it. It’s my first half and I’m pumped/nervous/excited. Your motivational post for today was great. Have you carbo loaded?? lol Anyway, thanks for the blog and good luck tomorrow!
